Raw Materials For Heat Shrink Tube Insulated Busbars: The Cornerstone Behind Quality
Nov 13, 2024
Busbar material
The busbar is the core conductive part of the heat shrink tube insulated busbar. The selection of its material is directly related to the conductive performance and mechanical strength of the entire product.
Copper
Copper is one of the most commonly used materials for busbars, mainly due to its excellent electrical conductivity. Among all metals, copper's electrical conductivity is second only to silver, but due to the high cost of silver, copper has become a very cost-effective choice. ASWT strictly controls quality when selecting copper materials and only uses high-purity electrolytic copper. This kind of electrolytic copper has extremely low impurity content, which can ensure the high efficiency of the busbar in transmitting current and reduce the loss of electrical energy during the transmission process.
In addition, copper has good ductility and mechanical strength. This allows the busbars to be made into various shapes and sizes during processing to meet different application requirements, while at the same time being able to withstand a certain degree of external force without being easily deformed or damaged. Our company uses advanced processing technology to process copper materials into busbars that meet precise specifications, laying a solid conductive foundation for heat shrink tube insulated busbars.
Aluminum
In some application scenarios that have special weight requirements or are more cost-sensitive, aluminum is also used in the production of busbars. Aluminum is lighter in weight, which is an important advantage for some equipment that needs to be reduced in weight, such as new energy vehicles such as electric vehicles. Although the conductivity of aluminum is slightly lower than that of copper, we make up for this shortcoming by optimizing the design structure of the busbar, such as increasing the cross-sectional area.
ASWT also follows strict standards when sourcing aluminum. We choose aluminum alloy materials with good corrosion resistance and mechanical properties to ensure that the busbars can work stably under different environmental conditions. At the same time, our R&D team continues to explore innovative technologies for aluminum busbar applications to improve the performance of aluminum busbars to meet the diverse needs of the market.
Heat shrink tube material
Polyolefin materials are one of the main raw materials for heat shrinkable tubes. It has many excellent properties, making it an ideal insulating material for heat shrink tubing insulated busbars.
First of all, polyolefin materials have excellent insulation properties. It can effectively prevent current leakage, prevent short circuits between busbars or between busbars and other components, and provide reliable insulation protection for electrical systems. In our production process, we use polyolefin materials optimized with special formulas to further improve their insulation properties and ensure that the heat shrink tube insulated busbars can operate safely in high voltage and high current environments.
ASWT strictly controls raw materials
We know that raw materials are the source of product quality. Therefore, we have established a strict raw material procurement and quality inspection system.
For each batch of busbar materials and heat shrink tube materials, we will conduct comprehensive quality inspections. From the chemical composition analysis of materials to physical performance testing, every step is taken care of. Only raw materials whose test results fully meet the high standards set by our company will be allowed to enter the production workshop.
