China Automobile Association: Sales Of New Energy Vehicles Reached 780000 Units in July, A Year-on-year Increase Of 31.6%

According to data released by the China Automobile Association, in July 2023, the production and sales of new energy vehicles completed 805000 and 780000 units respectively, with year-on-year growth of 30.6% and 31.6%, and a market share of 32.7%. According to statistics and analysis by the China Automobile Association, in July, under the influence of a high base in the same period last year, combined with the traditional off-season of the car market, the pace of production and sales slowed down, and the overall market performance was relatively flat, with a year-on-year decline.
 

In July 2023, the production and sales of automobiles completed 2.401 million and 2.387 million units respectively, a decrease of 6.2% and 9% month on month, and a decrease of 2.2% and 1.4% year on year, respectively.
 

From January to July 2023, the production and sales of automobiles completed 15.65 million and 15.626 million units respectively, with year-on-year growth of 7.4% and 7.9%, respectively. The cumulative growth rate of production and sales decreased by 1.9 percentage points compared to January to June.

 

In July 2023, the production and sales of passenger cars completed 2.115 million and 2.1 million units respectively, a decrease of 4.7% and 7.4% month on month, and a decrease of 4.3% and 3.4% year on year, respectively.
 

From January to July 2023, the production and sales of passenger cars reached 13.397 million and 13.368 million respectively, with a year-on-year increase of 6% and 6.7%, respectively.

 

In July 2023, the production and sales of commercial vehicles completed 286000 and 287000 units respectively, a decrease of 16.4% and 19% compared to the previous month; A year-on-year increase of 17% and 16.8% respectively.
 

From January to July 2023, the production and sales of commercial vehicles reached 2.253 million and 2.258 million respectively, with year-on-year growth of 16.9% and 15.9%, respectively.
