Congratulations on the release of China's electric vehicle fuse and contactor standards, it is reported that it will be officially implemented on October 1.
For the fuse standard system, it is mainly divided into IEC standard, UL standard and ISO standard. Among them, Chinese GB, German DIN and British BS basically adopt IEC standard. IEC standards mainly include IEC 60127, IEC 60269, etc. UL mainly includes UL248, etc. ISO mainly includes ISO 8820 series.
After years of development, global new energy vehicles are now is in a stage of rapid development. The safety protection system of the whole vehicle is also concerned. As early as 2015, the National Automotive Standards Technical Committee began to plan industry standards for fuses for electric vehicles. After experts from nearly 30 enterprise units from vehicle companies, component companies, and testing institutions attended the working group meeting and discussed, and after several revisions, it will finally be implemented on October 1, 2022.

t) [Electrical requirements - breaking capacity] The breaking capacity is simplified, only the minimum breaking capacity is performed, the arc energy during the test is approximately the maximum current, the maximum breaking capacity, three groups of tests, the minimum breaking current is determined according to 2IR.
According to the short-circuit test of the battery pack, the currently measured maximum short-circuit current is about 10KA, and the time constant is about 1ms. At the same time, considering the cost and product volume, it is not recommended that the breaking capacity and time constant be as large as possible. The maximum breaking capacity is greater than or equal to 20KA, and the time constant is 2±0.5ms.
u) [Electrical requirements - overload shock] Change 1.6IR to 1.3IR, the test curve remains unchanged, if you need to speed up the test speed, you can reduce the 0A holding time, and the breaking capacity test needs to be done after the test.
v) [Environmental requirements] After all environmental tests, functional tests of fuses are required, including internal resistance tests.Test, voltage drop test, fusing test, breaking capacity test.
w) 【Environmental requirements - salt spray】Add salt spray test, and refer to the contactor standard, because the battery pack has ventilation valve, so it is recommended to increase the salt spray test.
x) [Environmental Requirements - High Temperature] Mainly refer to GB/T 28046.4-2011, and integrate each operation of storage into one test.
y) [Environmental Requirements - Low Temperature] Mainly refer to GB/T 28046.4-2011, and store each operation work integrate into one experiment and change the low temperature operating mode to 1.
