Construction Begins On Candela's 240MW Solar Project in Texas

May 24, 2022

Candela Renewables, an independent solar developer founded by former First Solar Inc executives, and its Spanish partner, Naturgy Energy Group SA, have started operations in Germany. Texas to build a solar park of up to 240 megawatts.

Candela said last week that the plan is entering construction for the first time in the United States as part of an existing partnership. As announced in early 2021, Candela and Naturgy will build a pipeline of a 3.2 GW solar and 2 GW co-located battery storage project, which España has acquired through the acquisition of solar and storage platform Hamel Renewables LLC.

The 7V Solar Ranch photovoltaic (PV) park, with a direct current (DC) capacity of 300 MW, will be installed on an 800-hectare (1982-acre) site in Fayette County, Texas, and will supply power to the ERCOT market. Separately, Naturgy said the required investment was estimated at 264 million euros ($280 million).

The project aims to create Naturgy's largest solar park in the world and is its first renewable energy initiative in the United States. The solar power plant will come online by the end of 2023 and is expected to generate approximately 560 GWh of electricity annually.

With the continued advancement of large-scale photovoltaic (PV) power plant projects worldwide, the installation efficiency and structural stability of PV modules have become critical factors in engineering construction. From module fixation and wind pressure resistance to long-term outdoor corrosion resistance, every structural component directly impacts the operational reliability of the power plant. In this process, high-quality solar panel mounting clamps have become an indispensable and crucial component of PV support systems.

As a professional manufacturer in the field of new energy accessories, our company offers a variety of specifications of solar panel aluminum alloy clamps. Utilizing high-strength aluminum alloy materials and precision machining processes, these clamps offer advantages such as lightweight design, corrosion resistance, and easy installation. They provide stable and reliable module fixing solutions for large-scale ground-mounted power plants and distributed PV projects, helping PV power plants achieve more efficient and safer long-term operation.
