Pretreatment: First, preheat the busbar to reach the appropriate temperature so that it can better absorb the dipping liquid.
Dipping: The preheated busbar is immersed in molten PVC (polyvinyl chloride) or other plastic materials to form a uniform insulating layer on the surface of the busbar. This step requires strict control of the temperature and time of the dipping liquid to ensure the thickness and uniformity of the insulating layer.
Curing: The busbar after dipping needs to be plasticized in an oven to solidify the insulating layer. The plasticizing temperature is generally 200-350℃, the curing temperature is controlled between 170 and 190℃, and the curing time is controlled between 17 and 20 seconds.
Cooling: The cured busbar is cooled by air until it cools down, completing the entire dipping process.
Quality inspection: In some cases, CCD (appearance and visual inspection equipment) inspection is also carried out on semi-finished dipping busbar for connections, mainly for foreign matter, scratches, indentations, bad tabs, pollution, corrosion, pits, tab burns, blurred characters and other appearance defects.
