Function Of Temperature Fuse in Power Transformer
Aug 25, 2021
Temperature fuse, also known as fuse, is an electrical component installed in the circuit to ensure the safe operation of the circuit. Its function is: in case of circuit failure or abnormality, with the continuous increase of current, and the increased current may damage some important or valuable devices in the circuit, burn the circuit or even cause fire. If the fuse is correctly placed in the transformer, when the temperature rises above the melting point of the fuse, the fuse will blow, and the fuse will automatically cut off the power supply. So as to protect the safe operation of the circuit.
Two kinds of temperature fuses are commonly used in power transformers, ① disposable and ② recoverable. The disposable temperature fuse has no recoverability, and cannot be connected repeatedly after protection or action; The recoverable temperature fuse has recoverable characteristics. After protection or action, the product can be switched on repeatedly after it drops to a certain temperature.
