Resistance Welding Technology

Resistance welding refers to a method of using electric current through the weldment and the resistance heat generated at the contact as a heat source to locally heat the weldment, and at the same time pressurize the welding method. When welding, no filler metal is required, the productivity is high, the deformation of the weldment is small, and it is easy to realize automation.

Why choose Resistance Welding?

1. Fast: The heat is concentrated, the heating time is short, and it is generally completed within a few seconds.

2. Inexpensive: no filler metals such as welding wires and electrodes, and welding materials such as oxygen, acetylene, and hydrogen are required, and the welding cost is low.

3. Reliable: The heat-affected zone is small, and the deformation and stress are also small. Usually, it is not necessary to arrange the calibration and heat treatment process after welding.

4. Weldable coating materials

5. Easy to automate: It is easy to realize mechanization and automation, which improves working conditions.

As showned below picture, the blade terminal and outer cap is resistance welded by automatic production line in our company.
