Difference Between Fuse And Air Switch
Sep 18, 2021
1. The air switch is convenient and simple without power off. The fuse needs to be replaced, and it will have poor contact for many times.
2. The air switch integrates control and various protections. In addition to completing contact and breaking circuits, it can also short circuit circuits or electrical equipment.
Main functions of air switch:
(1) Under normal conditions, the armature of the overcurrent release is released; In case of serious overload or short circuit fault, the coil connected in series with the main circuit will produce strong electromagnetic suction to attract the armature downward and push the unlocking hook to disconnect the main contact. The operation of undervoltage release is just the opposite. When the voltage is normal, the electromagnetic suction attracts the armature and the main contact can be closed.
(2) Once the voltage drops seriously or power is cut off, the armature is released to open the main contact. When the power supply voltage returns to normal, it must be switched on again before it can work, realizing voltage loss protection.
