Fuse is just the name we are used to. Its real name is "fuse". Its main function is to fuse when the circuit current is abnormal or more than twice its rated current, so as to play the role of circuit protection.
Fuse has two important parameters, one is rated current; The other is the rated voltage. When in use, the fuse of corresponding specification shall be selected according to the current and voltage of the fuse.
Vehicle fuses are divided into high current fuses and medium and low current fuses. Medium and low current fuses are more common in general vehicles. Medium and low current fuses are divided into plug-in fuses, fork bolt fuses, screw on fuses and tube fuses. Among them, we are most often exposed to medium and small fast melting plug-in fuses. Let's talk about the plug-in fuse.
The specification of automobile plug-in fuse is generally 2a to 40a, and the ampere value will be marked at the top of the fuse. In addition to judging the ampere value by looking at the logo on the top of the fuse, we can also judge by the color of the fuse. Different colors represent different ampere values. The international standards are: 2A gray, 3A purple, 5A orange, 7.5A coffee, 10a red, 15A blue, 20A yellow, 25A colorless and transparent, 30A green, 35A lavender and 40A dark orange.
